REMI MEUM WINS IN THE USA

Mystic teamrider Remi Meum has made his first victory of the year during the superfly open in the USA.

In Remi’s own words: ?The reason I traveled to the U.S with the snowkitefilm crew was first and foremost to film, but also to compete in the largest snowkite contest stateside, the Superfly Open. We spent the first few days filming in bottomless powder. You needed more than 20 knots of wind to get going in the deep snow, so it?s safe to say you can have too much of a good thing. After filming we competed at the event in powder Mountain. There was a 15m long A-frame rail that was extremely fun to ride.?

Last weekend, I had the honor of receiving a special price at the “boot” trade fair in Dusseldorf – a prize that can’t be won in a windsurfing competition but that was awarded to me by “Surf” magazine. The magazine’s readers have once again voted me international “Surfer of the Year” and I was extremely pleased to accept the glass trophy from Surf magazine’s publishing director Konrad Delius and boot’s project supervisor Abdul-Rahman Adib. Once again I’d like to thank all the readers of “Surf” for voting for me – this award really means a lot to me!
