Pro Instructors

Damien Leroy

Whether riding freestyle, surfing the waves or racing at high speeds, Damien Leroy has mastered them all. Considered the most personable pro in kiteboarding, Damien is an amazing personality to be around and loves to share his stoke for the sport by encouraging other kiteboarders to push it to the limit.

Susi Mai

Growing up as a beach girl in Cabarete, Susi began kiteboarding in 2002. She placed 2nd in her first international PKRA competition and 5th overall during the world tour. After winning King of the Air in Maui, Susi quickly gained support from Red Bull and Cabrinha as her main sponsors and dedicated herself fully to the sport.

Reo Stevens

Born and raised on the North Shore of Oahu, Hawaii, Reo picked up kiteboarding at age 13. Today, Reo has taken his years of kite flying experience and his wind and wave knowledge to become one of the highest-published wave riders in the industry. He’s also managed all of this while attending the University of Hawaii full time, working toward a BA in Economics.

Jon Modica

An active water enthusiast, Jon grew up sailing, surfing and wakeboarding in Jupiter, Florida. He began kiteboarding in high school and was picked up by Cabrinha after a few amateur contest wins, before an ankle injury spurred his interest in the added technical difficulty of strapless surfboards. Jon is also very passionate about the struggling public school system and received a master’s degree in urban education policy.
