KTA KITEBOARD TOUR ASIA VIETNAM IT’S A START

Yesterday was the first day of the Kite Tour Asia second stop in Mui Ne, Vietnam. In this event, this year, there will obviously be the freestyle championships, but this year for the first time, the KTA is proud to announce it first Old Skool Championships.
With $10 000 in cash prizes and the possibility to accumulate world ranking points for the sanctions disciplines, the KTA Vietnam is most certainly a sought after event.
The KTA is also a great supporter of up and coming local riders: “So at each round this year the most promising local rider at the event (as judged by the judge team) not in one of the top three positions will be awarded as the best new local talent their own custom board from Kiwi based board builder Sprockett Boards, who is supporting rider development via the KTA Riders Grant Scheme for the season” (Source KTA)
Sponsored and powered by C2Sky Kite Center and Cabrinha, this third edition of the event takes place in Mui Ne, at the beautiful Unique MuiNe Resort. The riders are “living the dream”, even when there is no wind!
Indeed, for the first day of the event, the riders did not get much wind. First day was registration day, and 40 riders will be riding hard this year to win this competition. The forecast although looks good for the next few days, and we will all cross our fingers for them to get the normal hard core riding conditions known to the place.
