How It Works All feedback sent to the IKO is now logged and each question is given a value based on importance; more important questions like: “Were you given an IKO kiteboarder card?” have more value attached. The rating is calculated over the last 12 months in order to increase the value of ACTIVE instructors but also to ensure your overall rating isn’t harmed by those one or two negative feedbacks you got 3 years ago! The system is searchable by country (and several other fields) so you can see how you’re doing relative to other instructors in your area. What does it mean for me? The new system is great news for instructors, it means the public are able to see how experienced you are and it will help schools find good quality instructors. Don’t stop sending your forms to IKO, we enter all the forms that we receive so we can keep your rating up to date. WHAT NEXT? – Important Notes The IKO has replaced the paper feedback form system with an online feedback system which has massive benefits for instructors. When this happens, feedback will be much faster, more dynamic, paperless and not subject to fraudulent entries by rogue instructors. The new system links with the instructor ratings and will give ALL instructors a rating, not only level 2 and above. The ratings system is just the first part of a new integrated IKO network which will link instructors, schools, kiteboarders and the public into a tighter community.
