Just let go of the control bar and Recon is automatically activated. It doesnt get any easier than this. Once activated the power of the kite is immediately turned off and the kite slowly drops directly downwind of the rider. To recover the kite, the rider only needs to grab ahold of the control bar and relaunch the kite. The Recon fittings automatically re-seat themselves and the kite performs as usual. How it works: Since Recon is activated when the control line tension is transferred to the rear (steering lines), the Bypass leash is attached directly from the rider to the rear lines. When the rider is unhooked and lets go of the control bar, the tension is transferred directly to the rear lines and the kite is immediately depowered. This leash method bypasses the Recons manual release. This means that there is no re-assembly prior to relaunching the kite. Just recover the bar and relaunch the kite using the integrated Instant Relaunch” feature. Intended use: The Bypass leash is a perfect teaching accessory for 1st time beginners who want to body drag unhooked with the security of a depowering leash. Bypass is compatible with any standard Recon equipped kite and does not interfere with the normal operation of the manual Recon release handle or the Instant Relaunch function. The Bypass is also the perfect leash to learn handle passes. When the rider misses the pass, the Recon is automatically activated and the kites power is immediately turned off. This saves the rider from getting dragged around from a fully powered kite. Cabrinha Kite Surf Equipment Bringing You Innovations That Matter.
