BBC South West Watersports personality of the year Last Sunday, Aaron won the BBC South West Watersports personality of the year. This prestigious award was collected from Cornish rower Ed Coode, who won gold in the 2004 Olympics with the British Fours. Last years winner was sailor Joe Glanfield who won silver in sailing in the 2004 Olympics. So Aaron is following in some pretty incredible footsteps when collecting this award. BBC Young Sports Personality of the Year Aaron has also been nominated for the overall BBC Young Sports Personality of the Year. Sadly, he did not make the final three nominees. The fact that he is listed in the final 10 nomination list is however extraordinary. This is the first time ever a kitesurfer had been included in the nomination list. These awards and nominations are a great acknowledgment of Aarons achievement during the past year as well as an amazing boost for the sport of Kitesurfing in the UK.
