Interview Stefan Spiessberger Stance Magazine

During our South African trip, we met Stefan Spiessberger. This young Austrian is International rider at North kiteboarding, we saw him at work, the feet in the straps, and this brat has huge style and level. One of his specialties ? The low front mobe, that it performs easily whatever the conditions. In short, this young deserved a small Stance interview, just for you :

Can you make me a short description of your sportive career and your sponsor ?
I started Kitesurfing in 2006 at my homespot in Austria. Since then I was totally into Kitesurfing and started to travel. 2012 will be my second season as a professional Kitesurfer – this only is possible with the great support of my sponsors: North Kiteboarding, O'neill, ION, Ronix, Inkosport and boardshop.at
Is it easier for the girls when you are pro rider ?
It's not easier, but it's good to have a joker! ;)
And, after your sportive career ? Are you thinking about this ?
I will start a online studies pretty soon. It's important for me to prepare myself for the time after my career. Online university is perfect for that. I am still able to travel and at the same time I can study.
Andy Yates is back, Kevin also, Pastor won the last PKRA stop and, for sure, YOU are in da place... So, who will be the next world champion ?
The level on the tour is as high as never before. I would say there are probably five or even more guys who can be on the very top! I think it's gonna be a big fight for the world title again. But I will do my best to make their lives not as easy as they wish!
What is the crazy thing happened to you in kiting ? (hard crash or whatever...)
I had some crazy moments while kiting but the most painful moment was probably when I dislocated my shoulder during kiting.
We heard about 'hot things' between PKRA riders, is it right ? We want to know everything !!!

You are young, you are travelling around the world in the best places... Now, what is your dream ?
It always was a dream to travel the world and to be a professional kiteboarder. My goal for the next years is to get good and constant results on the tour and to enjoy every single moment on the water and off the water!
